Pawan Drops Rayalaseema From His Plan?

Pawan Drops Rayalaseema From His Plan?

Not long ago, actor-turned-Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan made a tall claim that he would like to represent backward Rayalaseema in the state assembly.

At one stage, he even declared that he would contest the assembly elections from Anantapur, the most backward district in the state.

But now, he seems to have changed his preferences.

According to latest reports, he has identified three assembly constituencies in the elections so that he can contest from one of them.

He reportedly shortlisted Eluru in West Godavari district, Pithapuram in East Godavari district and Gajuwaka in Visakhapatnam district for contesting the coming assembly elections.

He will select one of these constituencies after ascertaining the winning prospects in it. If necessary, he would contest from two constituencies.

Some party leaders reportedly suggested to Pawan that he should contest from the constituency where the party is weak, rather than where it is strong, since it will have an impact on the neighbouring constituencies as well. That way, Pawan has to contest from Rayalaseema, where the party is relatively weak.

If Pawan contests from Anantapur, he could represent the problems of the district in Assembly. But, he later dropped out the plan. Now, Rayalaseema is no more in his priority list.

At one stage, there was a talk that Pawan might contest from one of the constituencies in Srikakulam district, preferably Ichapuram constituency, which has shown tremendous response to his tour.

Now, even Srikakulam is out of his radar and he is finally concentrating on Kapu-dominated Godavari and Visakhapatnam districts!
