People of Andhra Pradesh will not get respite for at least another 40 years. They will have to bear with one person in politics, whether he is in the ruling or in opposition.
The person is none other than Telugu Desam Party general secretary and present Andhra Pradesh IT minister Nara Lokesh.
Known for his funny comments and goofs-up in speeches, Lokesh has been a favourite political character of social media activists in the state.
His public speeches and twitter comments get a lot of trolling in the social media quite often.
So, when Lokesh said at the Monday’s public meeting at Tirupati that he would like to continue for politics for another 40 years, it sent the social media into tizzy and within no time, he started receiving funny retorts.
“I am now 34 and I intend to be in political for another 40 years. I don't know if I will earn the kind of name and fame like my grandfather NT Ramarao and my father Nara Chandrababu Naidu earned in their political career. But I can confidently say that I will not bring bad name to my grandfather and my father," said Lokesh.
Apparently, Lokesh is of the view that he will succeed his father as the chief minister of the state. He said his father would once again play the role of kingmaker at the centre after the next general elections.
“It does mean, we need to bear with this pappu for another four decades – whether he remains in opposition or comes to power due to misfortune of the people,” a scribe commented.
