No Scope For Personal Padayatras In Cong!

No Scope For Personal Padayatras In Cong!

The Congress high command does not give permission for any leaders to take out padayatras or any other yatras for their individual images.

This was the opinion expressed by Nalgonda MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, who is considered to be a rebel leader in the Congress.

Obviously, he was referring to newly-defected MLA from Kodangal A Revanth Reddy, who is planning to take out the padayatra.

Komatireddy reminded that then AICC general secretary Gulam Nabi Azad had conveyed the high command’s decision not to give permission to late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy to take out a padayatra but the latter had convinced the party president with great difficulty.

His son Y S Jaganmohan Reddy also did not get the nod from the high command for Odarpu Yatra.

“Even PCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka did not get the approval for his proposal to the padaytra,” he said.

He, however, said if Revanth has to take out the padayatra, then it would have to be done along with the other TPCC leaders.

Komatireddy predicted that Congress would win 50 seats in next election and if party works hard winning 60 to 70 seats is also possible!!
