Media was full of reports of how the US was keen on developing Vizag into a smart city a few days back.
Given this background, it was said that Chandra Babu Naidu will be meeting US President Barack Obama during his tour to India and that he will be discussing development plans of Vizag with him. However, now it is said that Chandra Babu could not get an appointment with Obama.
Already, Andhra Pradesh government had written a letter to the White House requesting an appointment with Obama while he is in India. Since Obama has a packed schedule and owing to various reasons, it is being said that Babu was denied an appointment.
Incidentally, the US Consulate officials in Hyderabad also did their best to put in a word for Babu, we are told.
Remember the time when Bill Clinton came to Hyderabad when Babu was the chief minister? Poor Babu, must be feeling real bad since his brand appeal seems to have gone down since then.
