YSRCP MLAs are rather worried about the arbitrary way in which the police are behaving in Nellore district. Prior to the ZP elections, police raided the estate of YS Jagan and his family in Idupulapaya in the neighbouring Cudappah district, which has resulted in furore among YSRCP cadre.
Meanwhile, Sarvepalli MLA Kakani Govardhana Reddy has vehemently criticized the atrocities by Nellore police saying that the police department which is behaving like a TDP outfit should discard their khaki uniforms and wear yellow shirts instead.
On the other hand, another MLA from the district Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy complained that the Nellore TDP leaders have indulged in rather shameful acts bringing bad name to the district.
He condemned the fact that the police were doing away with the clean image that Nellore had in political circles.
Sridhar Reddy alleged that the discord was a result of orders from Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu.
