There is strong inside news that Nara Lokesh may be made the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh sometime between Ugadi and Vijayadasami in 2026.
Highly reliable political circles say that moves are already being planned in that direction.
Lokesh has been spending considerable time in Delhi and has built a close team with young TDP leaders such as Pemmasani Chandrasekhar, Ram Mohan Naidu, Kilari Rajesh, Sana Satish and others to show his strength.
Initially, there were reports that the BJP high command was not interested in replacing Chandrababu Naidu with Lokesh. However, over time, Lokesh has built confidence and rapport with senior leaders in Delhi.
The indications now suggest that they have given a green signal for Lokesh to take oath as the next Chief Minister of the state.
One notable aspect is Lokesh’s national-level presence. Even as a state cabinet minister, he has been giving interviews across major platforms and projecting himself as a de facto Chief Minister in Delhi circles.
This strategic networking mirrors the style once used by Chandrababu Naidu, and Lokesh appears to be following the same path to consolidate his future leadership.
