Nandyal by-poll, a referendum on Naidu?

Nandyal by-poll, a referendum on Naidu?

The forthcoming by-election to Nandyal assembly seat is a referendum on the performance of the Chandrababu Naidu government, rather than the sympathy for Bhuma Nagireddy family.

This was asserted, rather surprisingly, by Telugu Desam Party leader and law minister Kollu Ravindra.

He said the developmental programmes taken up by chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu in the last three years would help in the TDP winning the by-election.

“The fruits of the development are visible even for the Nandyala voters. It will reflect in the by-elections as well,” he said.

He said the by-election is a battle between a visionary like Chandrababu Naidu and a criminal like Jaganmohan Reddy.

The Nandyal people are scared of voting for Jagan as the Rayalaseema faction politics would spread to every district, he said.

Ravindra said that the statements like “beat Naidu with slippers and brooms, kill Naidu on the road” expose the violent character of Jagan which are not accepted by the people.
