Naidu Worried Over YSRC-BJP Bonhomie!

The unusual bonhomie displayed by YSR Congress party and the Bharatiya Janata Party in opposing the demolition of temples in Vijayawada as part of expansion of roads and development of Pushkar ghats has come in as a major embarrassment to Telugu Desam Party president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

Both the YSRC and BJP leaders joined hands on Monday to protest against the demolition of temples. They organised rallies and dharnas in Vijayawada and attended the meeting of Hindu Dharma Samrakshana Samithi meeting criticising the TDP government.

They particularly targeted Vijayawada MP Kesineni Nani and MLA Bonda Uma for making nasty comments against the BJP leaders and religious gurus.

Apparently realising that this new-found friendship would might extend further and cause a severe dent on the TDP, Naidu called up Nani and Uma and pulled them up for going to the extreme on the demolitions issue.

He asked them undo the damage and have a dialogue with the BJP leaders to sort out the issue.

“Under any circumstances, we shall not allow the YSRC to gain mileage out of it,” he is learnt to have told them.
