Naidu Sacks Revanth From Party Posts

Telangana Telugu Desam Party MLA from Kodangal A Revanth Reddy has been stripped of his both the posts – party’s working president as well as Telangana TDLP leader.

“He is just an MLA now,” declared Telangana TDP president L Ramana on Wednesday.

He said it was conveyed to him by party’s national president N Chandrababu Naidu.

“Naidu wanted that Revanth Reddy should not take up any programmes as the TDP Telangana working president and also as the TDLP leader,” he said.

Ramana said it was not his decision but the decision of Naidu, who gave the instructions on phone.

He said the party would hold the MLAs’ meeting at Hotel Golconda at 1 pm on Thursday and Revanth could attend the meeting in the capacity of an MLA.

“Naidu has asked me to supervise the TDLP meeting and ensure that they would raise the public issues in the assembly,” Ramana said.

However, Revanth refused to accept Ramana’s decisions.

“I have neither written nor telephonic orders from Naidu about my designations. And I have no information about the party meeting in Golconda hotel. I have called for the TDLP meeting in the office in the assembly and it stands. Nobody can interfere in the legislature party meeting,” Revanth said.

It remains to be seen what is going to happen on Thursday.
