Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu became richer by 3.77 times in a span of one year.
According to the declaration of Naidu’s family assets by his son and IT minister Nara Lokesh on Friday, the value of Naidu’s assets had gone up from Rs 3.73 crore last year to Rs 8.17 crore this year, while his liabilities went up from Rs 3.06 crore to Rs 5.64 crore.
It means the net value of Naidu’s assets grew from Rs 67 lakhs last year to Rs 2.53 crore this year – an increase of Rs 1.86 crore – registering a growth of 3.77 times.
All the other family members of Naidu also registered a growth in their assets value.
According to the declaration, the value of his wife Bhuvaneshwari’s properties went up from Rs 33.66 crore last year to Rs 46.32 crore this year. She projected her liabilities at around Rs 20.90 crore, taking the net worth of her properties to Rs 25.41 crore.
The assets of Lokesh to went up from Rs 14.50 crore last year to Rs 26.39 crore this year. However, he has liabilities of Rs 11.17 crore and hence his net worth is Rs 15.21 crore this year.
Lokesh’s wife Nara Brahmani also showed an increase in her assets – from Rs 12.76 crore last year to 15.37 crore this year. However, her net worth is Rs 15.01 crore, taking into consideration her liabilities worth Rs 36.14 crore.
Naidu’s grandson Nara Devansh also grew richer this year. The value of his properties showed an increase from Rs 11.32 crore to Rs 11.54 crore within one year.
Lokesh clarified that he was declaring all the value of all the assets only as per the acquisition value and not the market value, since the latter would vary from time to time.
