Naidu Not Happy With Secretariat Complex?

If the reports coming from the Andhra power corridors are to be believed, chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is said to be extremely unhappy with the quality of construction in the interim secretariat complex at Velagapudi.

Naidu, who started operating from his chambers in Block No. 3 of the Secretariat from Wednesday, reportedly pulled up Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana and the officials for the poor quality of material used in the construction. The furniture and the glasses used in the chambers were also of sub-standard.

“We are talking about a global capital and inviting foreign investors. How can we satisfy them with this kind of structures? Even the lighting is not proper. It is not just superficial appearance, but the quality has to be visible in every inch,” Naidu is learnt to have said.

He reminded that when he was the chief minister of combined state, he got the D-block in Secretariat at Hyderabad constructed.

“It was the world-class construction. Compared to it, this is absolutely poor quality,” the chief minister reportedly said.

It is learnt Naidu asked the Roads and Buildings department to make the builders L&T and Shapoorji-Pallonji answerable to the poor quality of works.
