Naidu Becomes Laughing Stock In Delhi

Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu, who has been running from pillar to post in New Delhi to present his views on the State bifurcation issue, is learnt to have become a laughing stock.

Naidu met several political leaders including Sharad Yadav, Laloo Prasad Yadav, Rajnath Singh, L K Advani, A B Bardhan, Sushma Swaraj, Sharad Pawar and Prakash Karat, but none of them took him seriously.

Reason: Instead of explaining his party’s stand, the TDP president chose to attack Congress party on the state bifurcation issue.

Even when he met the President Pranab Mukherjee last night, the latter reportedly asked him what exactly Naidu wanted.

The TDP president alleged that the Congress party was trying to draw political mileage out of Telangana issue.

He said the Congress party was not serious about finding a solution to Telangana tangle and blamed it for the political uncertainty prevailing in the State.

He condemned Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy's proposed protest on Wednesday and described the move as a "drama" being enacted by the Seemandhra and Telangana Congress leaders.

All the time, Naidu had been advocating that the Centre should bring the Telangana and Seemandhra leaders on to a single platform and bring about a consensus on the bifurcation issue.

But one fails to understand why Naidu did not bring his own party leaders from both the regions together and achieve consensus first.
