It has been three days since prominent high court advocate Gattu Vaman Rao and his wife Nagamani were brutally killed in broad day light in Peddapalli district of Telangana.
Though Vaman Rao, before dying, named former TRS legislator and Peddapalli zilla parishad chairman Putta Madhukar as the perpetrator of the attack, the police did not even question him, though they arrested Madhu’s close associate Kunta Srinu and nephew Bittu Srinu.
Putta Madhu is now freely moving in his Manthani constituency, taking part in the TRS membership enrolment issue.
Now, he is blaming the media for writing negative stories about him, linking his name with the murder of the advocate couple.
Seeking to play the BC card, the TRS leader alleged that the media was sold out to Congress MLA D Sridhar Babu and conducting the trial, instead of the police.
“These media persons have taken crores of rupees from Sridhar Babu and are targeting me because they are not tolerating the growth of a BC leader,” he said.
Madhu even compared media with dogs.
“I am surprised at the way they are targeting me in the murder case. Why are they against me? Did I loot them? Did I do any injustice to them? Why are they hounding me like this?” he asked.
He said he would speak out everything once the police completed its investigation in the murder case.
The TRS leader said he had not made any attempt to meet Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao or party working president K T Rama Rao.
“But these media persons say they have not given me appointment,” he said.
