Kiran Draws Blank In Native District?

Surprising as it might sound, caretaker Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has not been able to get the support of even a single MLA from his native district of Chittoor, when he came out of the Congress party in protest against division of the State.

This was pointed out by his cabinet colleague Dokka Manikya Varaprasada Rao on Saturday.

He ridiculed that Kiran Kumar Reddy was not in a position to get support of a single MLA from his home district of Chittoor. Kiran is still in a quandary whether to float a new political party or not, he said.

Dokka said Kiran was weighing pros and cons on the new party issue.

The Seemandhra leaders were deceived by Kiran by making tall promises of keeping the State undivided, he said.

“I will attend a meeting called by Kiran on Sunday”, he said, adding that there is no use of floating a new party at this juncture.

The meeting may not take a decision on the new party, he opined. It is not right to flay the Congress after quitting it for political gains, he said adding that he will appeal to the party high command to reinstate MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao into party fold.
