Kesineni insults Naidu, calls TDP a 'company'!

It looks like senior Telugu Desam Party leader and Vijayawada MP Kesineni Srinivas alias Nani is extremely unhappy with party president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu for encouraging his detractors in the constituency.

So much so that the MP directly confronted Naidu at the review meeting of the NTR district TDP meeting and made humiliating comments against the boss, describing the party as a personal company of Naidu.

“This is your company and you can run at your own will and your political heir’s will. I run my company according to my own wishes and you run the TDP as per your wishes,” Kesineni said in a harsh tone, addressing Naidu.

Shocked at the MP’s comments, Naidu felt insulted and hurt. He recovered immediately and pulled up Kesineni.

“This is not a company, but a political party that belongs to all and the people. I fought against Lakshmi Parvati and later Harikrishna to save it and brought it under my control,” he said.

The TDP chief went on to explain that he could do it only with the support of majority party leaders.

“Whatever I had done, it was to save the party,” he explained.

Kesineni also said he had been loyal to the party for several years and had not created any troubles for the same.

“But I have been neglected and sidelined and my rivals are being encouraged,” he said.

He told Naidu that it was not proper to question his integrity and loyalty towards the party.

“Despite me being an MP of the party, you are encouraging others in my own constituency,” Kesineni said.

He pointed out that he had received several offers from other parties, including the Bharatiya Janata Party, but he had not changed the party.

“I did not betray the party like Sujana Chowdary or C M Ramesh,” he said.

Kesineni made it clear to Naidu that he didn’t want to contest in the next elections and it was for the party to take a call; indicating that he might not continue in the party for long. He, however, did not make it clear whether he would continue in politics or quit.
