Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao came under wrath of the Opposition parties for failing to highlight the problems faced by the state during the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the first time to Telangana on Sunday.
Leader of Opposition in Telangana State Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir alleged that KCR had completely failed to extract any benefit from the Centre for Telangana State.
"Why didn’t KCR raise the issue of High Court bifurcation in Gajwel public meeting? As against the accusations made by TRS leaders in recent past of Centre ignoring Telangana State, KCR was all praise for Modi and his governance. Both Modi and KCR patted each other for doing nothing and cheated the people of Telangana," he alleged.
He also demanded the Chief Minister to release a White Paper on the funds released by the Centre for Telangana State.
He pointed out that five out of six projects launched by the Prime Minister during his maiden visit to Telangana on Sunday were initiated by previous Congress regime.
"Modi and KCR together enacted the launch drama to cheat the people of Telangana. By doing so, they tried to divert people's attention from the real unfulfilled promises,” he said.
