KCR: Breaking The Unwritten Code

Normally, politicians extend favours to one another as they are fully aware that power is not guaranteed.

Today, one might be in power but tomorrow, the opposition might form the government. Therefore, beyond the political rivalry, there is an unwritten code of give-and-take between the politicians of all parties.

For example, when Nandamuri Balakrishna was in big trouble in the Bellamkonda shooting episode, YSR was very indifferent and allowed Balakrishna to escape from the case. Thus, politicians extend favours to one another.

Any kind of allegations or vendetta is largely restricted to campaigns and press meets. But KCR seems to be bucking this trend.

He is going all-out in a bid to decimate his rivals politically. Whether it is the arrest of Jagga Reddy or now the IT raids on Revanth Reddy, he has gone to a point where there is no scope for a compromise with the Opposition.

It will indeed pay dividends as long as he is in power. But should the day arrive when his rivals occupy power, he just might find the going very tough indeed as he has broken the unwritten ‘code of co-operation’.
