Daughter of chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and Telangana Rashtra Samithi MP from Nizamabad Kalwakuntla Kavitha has recently kicked up a controversy by raising “Jai Andhra” slogan at the American Telugu Association meeting held in Chicago and she has drawn flak in the social media.
However, on her return to India, Kavitha strongly defended her slogan. “I said Jai Andhra and Jai Telangana. What is wrong in it? Should I not appreciate my neighbouring Telugu state? One can find fault with me had I said Jai Samaikyandhra,” she argued.
Well, it is an open secret that Kavitha and her brother K T Rama Rao have more friends in Andhra than in Telangana. Though superficially, they appear to be pro-Telangana, they have been associated with Andhra businessmen, entrepreneurs and industrialists.
Most of the beneficiaries of the Telagnana government are from Andhra. So, there is nothing for anybody to be surprised, if Kavitha said Jai Andhra, because the KCR family is surviving on the support of Andhra people!
