Popular Hindu seer Swami Paripoornananda of Sri Peetham, who joined the Bharatiya Janata Party recently, seems to be of the view that his entry has completely turned around the fortunes of the party.
He told media on Friday that the BJP is going to win not less than 70 assembly seats in Telangana in the upcoming elections.
“Don’t ask how it will happen. It will happen. BJP's Mission-70 has just started in Telangana,” the Swami said.
Paripoorna said he was ready to contest from any constituency that party would ask for. He described the elections as a fight between Dharma (ethics, morals) on one side and Adharma and Avineeti (unrighteousness, corruption) on other side.
On the grand alliance of for opposition parties, Swami said that Maha Kootami would not succeed in the elections.
“There will be no transfer of votes at the grassroots level, though the parties might join at the superficial level,” he said.
He also sought to know what TRS had done to the welfare of the people as voters trusted and given a chance to form government.
“KCR didn't rule for five years and if he is voted to power in the ensuing polls he will dissolve it in three years,” he added.
He pointed out that there was no democracy in the state as was evident from his externment from Hyderabad.
“Telangana government has expelled me, but Amit Shah has invited me, hence I joined BJP,” he said.
