Jogi, Only Leader To Support KCR Third Front!

Former Chhattisgarh chief minister and Janata Congress party leader Ajit Jogi, who has almost faded out of the Chhattisgarh politics, is perhaps the only leader who openly expressed his support to the third front proposed by Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

He told media in an informal that he would totally support KCR’s attempt for unification of regional political parties to fulfil regional aspirations as the national parties were sacrificing the needs of different States to meet their national agenda.

“There is a need to create a federation of political parties to play a decisive role in nation building without compromising on regional aspirations,” he said.

Jogi said he was convinced about KCR’s sincerity in floating a federal front for the allround development of the country.

“I like his idea of bringing together the regional forces and leading the cause on the national front,” Jogi said.

He said KCR was contacting the heads of all regional parties who were convinced that the national parties had failed to meet the aspirations of the people in their respective States.

“Rao is in touch with like-minded regional forces from West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and other States. He would convene our meeting soon to work out our future course of action and protect the interests of our people.

When he succeeds in the unification of regional forces, we will be able to break the monolith of BJP,” the former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh said.

Though he was confident that the 2019 general elections would belong to regional parties, he felt that cooperation with Congress might be needed in certain States to stop BJP which has been trying to impose its strong communal ideology on the entire nation without respecting regional problems of respective States.
