Jagan's media interactions: Nothing to write!

Jagan's media interactions: Nothing to write!

For the last two days, YSR Congress party president has been holding closed door interactions with media persons belonging to both domestic and national media.

Senior journalists are being invited in batches of five to six persons to have a personal chat with Jagan.

As of now, representatives of various Telugu electronic media, national electronic media and a few local English print media met Jagan, who sought their cooperation in giving coverage to his proposed padayatra.

He explained to them the failures of Chandrababu Naidu government and how his party has been highlighting the issues concerning the people.

He also told them how he was going about with his padayatra braving legal hurdles and police harassment.

Surprisingly, Jagan has been requesting all the media persons not to write a single sentence about his interaction with them.

“No off-the-record or on-the-record stories please,” he told them.

While there was no permission for the cameras of electronic media, the print media journalists are requested not to take out their pen or paper.

A journalist who interacted with Jagan said there was a lot of material to write and he had even framed the lead while talking to him. But unfortunately, Jagan has strictly told him not to write anything.

“After all, we are journalists and we expect a nice copy when we get a rare opportunity to have a close interaction with leaders like Jagan. Otherwise, why should we waste so much time in talking to him where there is nothing to write?” he asked.
