Jagan Takes The Battle To Delhi

YSR Congress party Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has begun his campaign in Delhi to expose the double standards of Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu in inducting four of the YSR Congress party MLAs into the state cabinet, thereby violating the Constitutional norms.

Jagan, along with his senior party colleagues, submitted a memorandum to President of India Pranab Mukherjee, seeking a direction to Governor E S L Narasimhan to immediately disqualify the four YSRC MLAs – Sujaya Krishna Ranga Rao, N Amarnath Reddy, Bhuma Akhila Priya and C Adinarayana Reddy – who joined the Naidu cabinet recently.

He alleged that the Governor, too, had forgotten his Constitutional right and blindly accepted the recommendations of Naidu in swearing-in the defected MLAs.

Describing Naidu as a Machiavellian politician with no scruples, Jagan questioned the former for indulging in unethical practice of making defectors ministers without their resigning the post they got from their parent party.

He said giving ministries to YSRCP turncoats even through defection cases are still pending against them. He said if this was allowed, then democratic values would be imperilled.

He said the TDP was deeply corrupt and that it was using the corrupt money to buy off MLAs. This has been proved in the case of Cash For Vote scam, he said.

He said he would meet all those who can influence the ruling BJP at the centre and try to convince them about the unethical practices of the TDP Government, Jagan said.
