Jagan picks ministers to target Naidu, Pawan!

After all the sound and fury over the formation of new Andhra Pradesh cabinet subsided, YSR Congress party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is learnt to have given specific targets to his new ministers to take on the political opponents.

While many of the new ministers in the cabinet are actually seasoned players in politics, two of them stand out – one is R K Roja and another is Ambati Rambabu.

It is learnt Jagan has particularly chosen these two ministers to target the political opponents.

Both of them have now been entrusted with the task of countering the criticism from TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan on a regular basis. Since they have a pungent tongue and have the capacity to attract the media, they have been chosen for this purpose, sources said.

Another minister who is learnt to have been given the task of attacking Pawan Kalyan is Gudivada Amarnath from Anankapalle.

In the past, it was Kurasala Kanna Babu and Perni Nani, who were attacking Jana Sena chief; now, the task has been given to Gudivada.

Similarly, another minister Kakani Goverdhan Reddy from Nellore has also been given the responsibility of neutralizing the TDP in the south coastal Andhra.

There is also another minister Jogi Ramesh, who can make aggressive attack on Chandrababu Naidu.

“The chief minister has chosen leaders who have loud mouth to attack the opposition. These ministers might not have the subject to counter the TDP, but they can silence the opposition with pungent criticism,” sources said.

When it comes to counter the opponent on issues, there are ministers like Buggana Rajendranath Reddy, Dharmana Prasada Rao and Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy who are always on the forefront.

“Unlike in the past, Jagan wants to go in a systematic way to attack the opposition, while propagating the government’s achievements,” sources added.
