YSRCP head Jagan Mohan Reddy has criticized all media organisations that are biased towards his rival Chandra Babu Naidu.
In Rajahmundry to assess the reasons for his party’s failure during the recent elections, Jagan launched a direct attack on Eenadu, ABN-Andhra Jyothi and TV9.
He said that the aforementioned media houses went all out to support Chandra Babu Naidu and his party.
Jagan pointed out that Eenadu had in fact carried a banner story on the front page saying that Babu alone was capable of waiving the loans.
However, once the party was voted to power, the same newspaper carried a story saying that Chandra Babu has got a debt-ridden state and that he had made promises prior to bifurcation when the enormity of the situation was hard to gauge. Now, such stories are written only to mislead gullible people, alleged Jagan.
However, given that Jagan owns a newspaper and a television channel, it was surprising to see him launching a direct attack on certain media channels. His father, late YS Rajasekhara Reddy was also critical of the stories carried in two newspapers in particular. Now, Jagan has gone a step ahead and included a TV channel in his tirade.
