How Long Will Jagan Yatra Continue?

YSR Congress party president and leader of Opposition Y S Jaganmohan Reddy crossed yet another milestone on Monday when he completed 2,000 km of his marathon padayatra – Praja Sankalpa Yatra, as he entered West Godavari district at Venkatapuram of Eluru mandal.

Jagan unveiled a 40-feet pylon to mark the completion of 2,000 km of padayatra and as usual, addressed a huge rally at Eluru bus stand later, attacking his bête noire Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

The question now is when Jagan would complete his padayatra. He started off his padayatra on November 6. It does mean he has taken more than six months to complete 2,000 km.

Even if one were to take out the breaks he has taken – around 27 days for attending the court proceedings and a couple of other occasions like Christmas etc, the YSRC chief has taken more than five months for his 2,000 km long padayatra.

As per the original schedule, Jagan should have completed his padayatra by May end. But more than a 1,000 km distance is still left for him to cover and he has just entered West Godavari.

He has to cross West Godavari, East Godavari, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and then Srikakulam to reach his destination of Ichchapuram.

Going by this present pace of walk, Jagan would take at least another two and a half months to complete the padayatra. It would mean, it would be done by July end or August first week.

May be he is planning to end his tour by August 15, coinciding with the Independence Day!
