Ganta Certain To Quit TDP?

If the reports doing round in the Telugu Desam Party circles are to be believed, senior party leader and Andhra Pradesh Human Resources Development Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao has decided to resign from the TDP sooner or later.

According to these reports, though Ganta told party president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu that he would continue in the TDP, he reportedly told his close friends and followers that he might not continue in the TDP which is most likely to lose power in 2019.

He suspects that Naidu is playing a double game with him – trying to pamper him on one side and getting a negative surveys done against him on the other.

The question now is where would Ganta go after resigning from the TDP?

According to sources, Ganta has kept both the options open – of joining the YSR Congress party and also Jana Sena Party. He has sent feelers to both the parties and had a talk with YSRC president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and also Pawan Kalayn.

“Both of them have welcomed him into the party, but Ganta is not very hasty. He will take a decision depending on the local situation in the next couple of months. In any case, it is for sure that he will not continue in the TDP for long,” sources said.
