From Hyderabad Biryani To Pulasa Chepa!

From Hyderabad Biryani To Pulasa Chepa!

Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu seems to have changed his food preferences, insofar as attracting global investors to the state for setting up their shops.

When he was the chief minister of united Andhra Pradesh, Naidu used to lure the global investors at various meetings with Hyderabad Biryani.

He used to say that Hyderabad was very famous for three things: Charminar, pearls and biryani; and call upon the investors not to go back without seeing the historic monument, purchasing pure pearls and enjoying Hyderabad biryani.

He used to act like a virtual promoter of Hyderabad Biryani, as it was a must dish at all his official meetings.

Now that Naidu is the chief minister of only Andhra Pradesh with 13 districts and Hyderabad has gone to Telangana, he has lost the opportunity to promote Hyderabad Biryani. Now, his latest menu comprises Pulasa Chepa and Ulava Charu.

“There is an urgent need to bring international recognition to Pulasa Chepa of Godavari and Ulava Charu of Krishna district. Attracting investors with good food is part of our culture and heritage,” he said.

At the same time, Naidu also called for promotion of Tapeshwaram Kaja, Atreyapuram Poota Rekulu and Bandar Laddu.
