For his unflinching loyalty to the Congress party, Koniejti Rosayya was given due prominence in the Party.
YSR especially was very fond of him and Rosayya on many a occasion, came to YR’s rescue in the Assembly.
The crowning glory for Rosayya came when he was appointed the Chief Minister of united AP after YSR’s demise. Although, he was forced t relinquish that post later, he never uttered a word against the party high command.
Pleased with him, the high command made him Governor of Tamil Nadu a post which he enjoyed till recently. But he is hardly setting foot in Andhra Pradesh nowadays.
With the Congress party nearly wiped out in AP and the existing bunch of Congressmen not bothering to consult him, Rosayya has restricted himself to attending cultural events and inaugurations in Hyderabad.
But few people have had such an enterprising life in politics, whether in power or in the opposition. That is Rosayya!
