Desperate to secure the political future of his son KTR as Chief Minister of Telangana, KCR is going on repeated rants that are not good for the health of Telangana.
Speaking at the public meeting yesterday, KCR asked the people not to vote for national parties and instead for the TRS party only.
Asking the Telanganites to emulate the Tamilians in this regard, he asked whether they wanted to do ghulaamgiri of Delhi or be the gulaabs of Telangana.
People will vote for whichever party does them good and it doesn’t matter as long as it is an Indian Party. Therefore, splitting the people along regional lines in terms of North and South will not inculcate the right spirit in coming generations.
Had it not been for the fact that he needs Seemandhra votes in Ranga Reddy and Hyderabad districts in 2019, he would have probably lashed out at the Andhras once again in the meeting.
Finally, the people of Telangana are not as caste conscious as their Andhra counterparts but KCR through his encouragement to various caste groups is dividing the people by granting bhavans, lands etc in the names of communities. This will only foster envy and hatred.
Why different bhavans for different communities? Why not a single Telangana Bhavan instead?
Unfortunately, none of the above steps taken by KCR are good for a healthy atmosphere for the coming generations.
