Down but not out: Long queue to join YSRC!

The Telugu Desam Party leadership might be under the impression that the YSR Congress party has become beleaguered after its defeat in the recent by-elections to Nandyal assembly seat and its leaders would make a beeline to the TDP in the coming days.

But the YSRC may be down, but not out. It continues to be the party in demand and there are several top leaders who are willing to join the party.

According to latest reports, former Union minister Killi Kruparani is most likely to join the YSRC sooner or later.

She was one of the most senior leaders in the Congress party in Srikakulam district and held very important positions in the party.

After the debacle of the Congress in 2014 elections post bifurcation, she, along with another senior leader Kondru Muralimohan, have been safeguarding the Congress party, though several leaders like Dharmana and others defected to the YSR Congress party.

Now, the time has come for Kruparani to take a decision on her political future. She has sent the feelers to the YSR Congress party stating that she is ready to join the party if she is given the Tekkali assembly seat.

Since there is already a tough competition for the seat in YSRC, the party leadership asked her choose another one and she opted for Palasa. If the deal is agreed, she might join the YSRC any time!

Apart from Kruparani, other leaders like Kondru Murali, Sailajanath, Anam Viveka and many others are queuing up before the YSRC, say sources.
