If the reports coming from the corridors of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi are to be believed, former minister and Congress MLA from Gadwal D K Aruna is all set to become the home minister of Telangana state.
According to these reports, TRS president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is learnt to have given green signal for Aruna joining the TRS.
In all probability, she would be inducted into the state cabinet as home minister. If it happens, she would become the first woman home minister of Telangana and second one in the Telugu states.
The only woman home minister in the earlier government was Sabita Indra Reddy, who is almost out of politics now.
There are also reports that another former home minister K Jana Reddy may join the TRS sooner or later. Of late, he is back to his old tactics of praising the KCR government.
Very recently, he appreciated the chief minister for taking up Mission Bhagiratha – of providing drinking water to all the households.
He said it was a very good scheme and KCR deserves all praise. If he continues in the Congress, who is going to respect him?
