Cong playing mind game in Telangana?

The Congress party in Telangana, which was extremely euphoric over the entry of Kodangal MLA A Revanth Reddy, has got disappointed within no time, as it has not received the expected large scale influx of leaders from other parties.

Soon after the defection of Revanth into the Congress, Pradesh Congress Committee president Capt N Uttam Kumar Reddy said there would be large scale exodus of leaders from the TDP and other parties into the Congress. But, so far, nothing of that sort has happened.

As a result, the PCC leaders have started leaking names of some TRS and TDP leaders who would be coming into their Congress party.

On Friday, there was a strong rumour that former minister and Warangal (East) MLA Konda Surekha along with her MLC husband Konda Murali would be joining the Congress shortly.

Apparently, the Congress leaders felt that she was feeling uncomfortable in the TRS following differences with another TRS MLA Errabelli Dayakar Rao and was upset for being denied cabinet berth in Telangana government.

It appears some Congress leaders even consulted the couple and tried to persuade them to join the party.

As the news about Surekha’s defection spread like wild fire, she had to come before the media to give clarification.

“The Congress leaders are playing a mind game. They are feeling as if Revanth’s entry has given them much power, but it is just swelling. The Congress party was dead long ago. I came into politics with the blessings of Y S Rajasekhar Reddy and got the second life because of KCR. I will never quit the TRS,” she said.
