Cold War Between TDP Defectors In TRS!

Cold War Between TDP Defectors In TRS!

Telangana deputy chief minister Kadiam Srihari and Palakurthy MLA Errabelli Dayakar Rao had been bitter rivals right from their days in the Telugu Desam Party.

Both the leaders indulged in attack on each other quite openly and many times, TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu had to personally intervene to resolve the disputes between the two.

Now, both the leaders have ditched the TDP and joined the Telangana Rashtra Samithi. Srihari was the first one to join the TRS before 2014 elections. He got elected as Warangal MP and then later became MLC to become deputy chief minister.

Errabelli Dayakar was the recent entrant into the TDP. Though Errabelli is more powerful, Srihari being the senior in the TRS, is now trying to dominate the party in Warangal.

In the recent developments, Errabelli made a desperate bid to make Jangaon as the new district as part of delimitation of districts in Telangana. It was more or less finalised, but Srihari put spokes in the decision at the last minute and got Bhupalpalli replacing Jangaon.

Apparently, Srihari felt that if Jangaon is made separate district, Errabelli whose constituency Palakurthy falls in this district, would become more powerful and gain control over the entire district. Hence, he stalled the move to make Jangaon as the new district.

Realising this, Errabelli is secretly supporting the Congress agitation for Jangaon district. The violent incidents in the last two days at Jangaon are said to have the support of Errabelli. This is naturally causing trouble to Srihari who is controlling Warangal
