Budget of #RRR at par with combined cost of Baahubali films

SS Rajamouli, at a press meet in Hyderabad on Thursday, made some major announcements pertaining to his upcoming film RRR.

While Rajamouli confirmed that Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt were a part of the film, he also declared July 30, 2020 as its release date.

Among other things, the director also revealed the tentative budget of the high-scaled film.

RRR, he said, will be made on an approximate budget of Rs 350 crore-Rs 400 crore, which makes it probably the most expensive film being made in the Telugu film industry.

In fact, the cost is almost at par with the combined budget of the Baahubali films, Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion, which was nearly Rs 430 crore.

Talking about the film’s large scale, he said, “I don’t like anything small and everything will be on huge scale.”

To update you on the status of the film, the second shooting schedule has already begun at the Ramoji Film City Studios in Hyderabad.
