BJP's Precondition For Alliance With TDP

BJP's Precondition For Alliance With TDP

The BJP leadership in Delhi is understood to have laid a precondition for alliance with the TDP.

Though the BJP is in alliance with the Jana Sena now and is not ready to restore the pact with the TDP, there is pressure on the leadership to patch up with Naidu.

Responding to these pressure tactics of Chandrababu Naidu, the BJP leaders are said to have laid a precondition for alliance.

The precondition is that the TDP should accept Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan as the chief minister candidate of the alliance.

The BJP had already named Pawan Kalyan as the chief minister candidate of the alliance and wants the TDP too to accept it if the alliance is to be restored.

Sources say that the BJP is not in any mood to restore the alliance with the TDP and have plans to keep both the TDP and the Jana Sena out of any pact ahead of the 2024 elections.

The Plan A in restoring alliance with the TDP is to ask Naidu to accept Pawan as the chief minister candidate.

There is also Plan B with the BJP leadership to keep Pawan out of Chandrababu Naidu’s reach. This would mean that the BJP would take Pawan Kalyan to the Central politics by inducting him into the cabinet as minister of state with some portfolio.

By all means, the BJP leadership, particularly Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, are working to put an end to the political career of Chandrababu Naidu.

Modi and Shah are scheming to see the TDP chief out of politics after the 2024 general elections, even if it amounts to another victory of Jagan Mohan Reddy in the state.
