BJP To Play Opposition In AP Budget Session!

BJP To Play Opposition In AP Budget Session!

The Andhra Pradesh unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party has decided to pay the Telugu Desam Party in its own coin in the forthcoming budget session of the state assembly.

Just as the TDP MPs, despite being part of the ruling NDA at the Centre, raised a hue and cry in Parliament over the alleged injustice meted out to the state, the BJP MLAs in the Andhra assembly, despite being allies to the TDP, would corner the Chandrababu Naidu government during the budget session and expose the failures of the Telugu Desam Party government in the state in implementing the promises made in its election manifesto in the last three and a half years.

While the TDP has been attacking the Centre for not implementing the promises made in the AP Reorganisation Act, the BJP leaders in the state have decided to launch a counter-offensive by questioning the Chandrababu Naidu government on why it has failed to implement the promises made in the TDP manifesto before 2014 elections.

The BJP has constituted a team to study the implementation of promises made by the TDP in 2014 election manifesto.

The committee headed by Party BJYM President Vishnuvardhan Reddy will prepare the report and submit the party in five days. Based on the report, the party will expose TDP government’s failures in the ensuing Assembly budget session.

The BJP will play the role of Opposition and attack the TDP on issues like Polavaram contracts, corruption and misuse of funds in employment guarantee scheme.

So, it will be a big support to the YSR Congress party which has been waging a lone battle against the TDP in the assembly!
