After the Praja Rajyam was formed, the idealogical Pawan Kalyan mistakenly thought that his brother's party would make a difference. Therefore, he was completely unprepared for the revelation that the Praja Rajyam was just as any other political party and only intended to be a money-spinner to the mega family.
Adding insult to injury was tickets being denied to candidates being recommended by him. Unable to come to terms with the harsh reality of realpolitik, Pawan has since then been maintaining his distance from the mega-family.
But recent efforts by the mega-family to warm up to him and include him in the family scheme of things have come a cropper with Pawan staying away from all events.
Why is he so disenchanted with Chiranjeevi although he genuinely loves him? The reason could be politics!
When Praja Rajyam was formed, naturally, the tag of a Kapu party was given to it. Besides, Chiranjeevi had completely lost credibility as a politician especially after the merger of Praja Rajyam with Congress. Therefore, if Pawan Kalyan were to appear on the same dais with Chiranjeevi again even if it is for family events, people might begin to suspect the intentions of the Jana Sena and Pawan Kalyan.
As of now, with neither an office, nor cadre, Jana Sena is relatively corruption-free. And Pawan Kalyan wants to keep it that way!
