Asli Picture Abhi Baaki Hai, Mr Ponnala!

IT Minister K T Rama Rao on Saturday said leave alone padayatras, even knee-yatras by Congress leaders can’t help the party to return to power in Telangana.

Reacting strongly to the Congress rally to protest against shifting of the Chest Hospital from Erragada and relocating the Secretariat there, KTR said the Congress leaders, who were out of power since only a few months, were desperate to remain in limelight by organizing such padayatras.

“PCC president Ponnala Lakshmaiah has to take up many such padayatras. This is only just a ‘trailer’ and the Congress leader needs to watch much of the ‘cinema’,” he said.

He said the Congress party is a dead horse now in the State and any gimmicks or agitations would not help the party leaders to come to power.

The minister further said the TRS government had a concrete plan in the proposal to shift the Chest Hospital and Secretariat with a clear vision for attracting investments for development of the State.

Only when investments pour in, the employment opportunities would increase, he pointed out and asserted that the government was answerable only to the people in such matters.

KTR said they would call an “All-Party” meeting, if necessary, to discuss the issue. The government will discuss with all the Opposition parties.
