The kind of welcome that KCR got when he landed in the city is hitherto unheard of. Everything was pre-planned and nitty-gritty was looked into. He returned to the city after a separate Telangana state became a reality and his welcome was befitting royalty.
He landed in Shamshabad and then flew into Begumpet airport in a special helicopter. Then, KCR was taken out in a rally amidst much fanfare in a chariot till Gun Park which was seven kilometers away.
Apart from large numbers of people who gathered to meet their hero, the celebrations have been planned on a rather grand scale. 100 horses and camels were brought in and the actual highlight of the entire rally was receiving him with 1000 full pots.
The whole ritual was held under the aegis of the Telangana Brahmin Sangham and KCR was blessed by pandits on his arrival.
As per the story, Lord Srirama was given a similar welcome when he returned to Ayodhya after vanavasa. In fact, those present say that even Lord Rama was received with only 500 ‘purna kumbhalu’.
So, some are advising that KCR should now focus on forging better relationships between Telangana and Seemandhra people. Though one can surely not compare him with Lord Rama, KCR did promise Telangana people that he will return with the Bill in place. Naturally, people are gratified and are giving him such a huge welcome.
