It appears another YSR Congress party MLA is looking towards the ruling Telugu Desam Party, as was evident from the way he praised TDP president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday.
Shaik Mohammad Mustafa, representing Guntur (East), actively participated in the Janmabhoomi-Maa Vooru programme held in several wards of his constituency in the town along with several other local TDP leaders.
Except Mustafa, no YSRC leader participated in the programme anywhere in the district.
Not only that, Mustafa lavished praises on Naidu for conducting Janmabhoomi programme to address to the problems faced by the people.
“It is a very good programme to reach out to the people. I must appreciate the Chandrababu Naidu government for providing pensions and ration cards to various sections of people including old aged, disabled and women,” he said, adding that the programme should be held beyond politics.
Mustafa’s statements made one wonder whether he had fallen prey to the ruling TDP’s Operation Akarsh. If it is true, one more wicket will be down for the YSRC!
