Telangana power minister G Jagadish Reddy lashed out at Vemuri Radhakrishna, the owner of Andhra Jyothi Telugu daily newspaper and ABN news channel by terming his as a 'blackmailer' and a 'thief' living in Telangana.
Jagadish Reddy said that Radhakrishna has been bringing down standards in journalism to lowest-possible levels with his blackmailing tactics under the guise of media and time has come for media experts and intellectuals to think about this seriously to revive the credibility of media.
Jagadish also said that Radhakrishna has been spitting venom on Telangana right from Telangana statehood agitation and he continues to do so even after Telangana State was formed.
Jagadish commented that Radhakrishna could have amassed huge wealth with his blackmailing tactics under the guise of media, but he should realise that he would never succeed in his mission of destabilising Telangana or Telangana government with his mindless news reports against Telangana.
Jagadish alleged that Radhakrishna was resorting to vicious campaigan against Telangana government through his paper and channels in his bid to cover up the inefficiency of Chandrababu Naidu government in Andhra Pradesh, which failed on all fronts by not fulfilling even a single poll promise even after 17 months while TS government fulfilled 98 per cent of the poll promises successfully.
Jagadish said Radhakrishna lost his mental balance looking at the efficiency of TRS government in Telangana in delivering poll promises within a short period and earning all round appreciation from the people of Telangana and unable to digest this fact he was resorting to tarnishing the image of TRS government with his yellow journalism, for which Radhakrishna is famous for across the globe.
