YS Jagan's Brand Ambassadors In TDP Media

YS Jagan's Brand Ambassadors In TDP Media

Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, seems to have gained unexpected brand ambassadors in TDP-allied media.

It appears ironic yet that is how it looks. Jagan recently came to Hyderabad to attend the court as part of a routine legal formality to report his return from an approved foreign tour.

He had initially requested permission to attend through video conference, saying his arrival in Hyderabad would cause heavy traffic issues. The court, however, directed him to appear in person.

Jagan then flew from Vijayawada to Hyderabad. As expected, crowds gathered to see him which led to traffic disruptions.

This is where the so-called ambassadors emerged.

One anchor complained, “Why are so many people coming to see him? Why this show of strength? It is sad to watch.”

Another anchor declared, “I will write a letter to the Road Transport authorities. How can traffic be stopped for a criminal? How is Chief Minister Revanth Reddy ignoring this?” He even added, “How can Jagan smile while getting off the flight? Who goes to court with a smile?”

A third anchor commented, “So many people are unnecessary yet they come anyway. How did Jagan know his court work would end by 12 noon and how did it actually end by then?”

Another anchor repeated the same line and asked, “How can he know beforehand? Will a common man get this? Even many legal experts are getting shocked.”

The irony is that none of these anchors seemed to understand the simple legal formality Jagan came for or the time it normally takes. Their rants unintentionally provided comic entertainment to the Telugu audience in both states.

Many believe these three anchors gave the issue more attention than anyone else and turned an otherwise routine event into headline material. They gave full hype and impetus to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy unknowingly.
