NDA Presidential candidate Droupadi Murmu made it clear that the TDP had extended its support to her without being asked.
She thanked the TDP and its leader N Chandrababu Naidu for their support though it was not solicited!
Naidu had rushed back to Vijayawada to organise a meeting in honour of Murmu. The TDP held this meeting in a star hotel in the city.
This meeting was held after her meeting with the ruling YSR Congress at Mangalagiri.
She visited Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy’s camp office at Tadepalli where she was given high tea in her honour.
Later, she met the YSR Congress MPs and MLAs in the meeting, where she thanked Jagan Mohan Reddy for his support to her.
Earlier, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy explained how the NDA approached Jagan Mohan Reddy in advance and sought his support.
He revealed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several Union Ministers have requested Jagan Mohan Reddy for his support, indirectly rubbing aside BJP general secretary Sathya Kumar’s statement that the BJP did not ask Jagan for his support.
He thanked Jagan Mohan Reddy and his party for their support.
