Wishful Thinking Dominates Andhra Politics

Wishful Thinking Dominates Andhra Politics

Ever since Chandrababu Naidu lost and Jagan Mohan Reddy won the 2019 general elections, the arm chair politics have taken front seat in spreading rumours.

“Wishful thinking” takes front line for many, mostly the opposition TDP leaders, activists and sympathisers.

The wishful thinking generated rumours have been doing rounds from the day one that Jagan Mohan Reddy assumed charge as chief minister, succeeding Chandrababu Naidu.

These rumours speak about the “wishful arrest or cancellation of bail” of Jagan Mohan Reddy tops all rumours.

The wishful thinking also floats rumours like Y S Bharathi would be the next chief minister, while some have said that Vijayamma would takeover.

There were also rumours like senior Ministers Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy or Botsa Satyanarayana splitting the party once Jagan Mohan Reddy is sent to jail.

The extreme of such rumours was that Y S Bharathi is being trained at Tadepalli to handle both the party and the office of the chief minister.

When Raghurama Krishnam Raju filed a petition seeking cancellation of Jagan’s bail, these rumours have been flooding the AP politics.

On Monday, when Jagan Mohan Reddy met Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan at Raj Bhavan, the arm chair (politicians, intellectuals, analysts) think tank of AP started spreading rumours that Jagan had introduced Bharathi to Governor as the next chief minister if his bail is cancelled!

These rumours only speak about the unrest among the people of one section, to be specific, those associated with the TDP, who keep dreaming of Jagan’s fall and Naidu’s rise!
