Will Tummala continue in TRS or quit?

It has been a long time since one has heard about former minister Tummala Nageshwara Rao, who had once controlled the politics in entire Khammam district when he was in the Telugu Desam Party.

After he joined the Telangana Rashtra Samithi following his defeat from Khammam in 2014, too, he enjoyed clout in the initial days.

He won as TRS candidate from Paler in the by-elections. But after his defeat in the 2018 elections, Tummala started losing his influence in the district, as Kandala Upender Reddy, who defeated him in the elections switched over to the TRS.

Since then, Tummala has been feeling sidelined in the TRS and he has not been seen or heard anywhere in the party.

He went completely into oblivion, as his rivals within the TRS have started dominating the politics.

On Wednesday, Tummala made strong comments against his detractors within the party.

He said he would believe his political rivals but not political betrayers within the party. He took out a big rally of his followers and fans in Nelakondapalli.

“These betrayers ditch us while continuing in our party. You should handle them and teach them a bitter lesson,” Tummala said, addressing his followers.

He declared that he would get back into active politics again and see that Paleru constituency is developed on all fronts.

He, however, said he would take up the issues concerning the constituency with chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and get them resolved.

He declared that he would contest the next elections from Paleru constituency. But what he would if KCR prefers to continue Upender Reddy in the next elections remains to be seen.
