Who Could Have Killed Viveka?

The murder of former MP and ex-minister Y S Vivekananda Reddy, brother of former chief minister of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy at his residence in Pulivendula of Kadapa district on Friday morning created a huge sensation in the state.

It is nothing but natural that YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and his party leaders threw the blame on Telugu Desam Party led by chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and demanded a CBI inquiry into the gory killing of the 68-year old man.

Some YSRC leaders like V Vijay Sai Reddy directly accused Naidu and his Lokesh of masterminding the murder of Viveka, as part of eliminating the YSR family, while others pointed an accusing finger at TDP minister and party’s candidate for Kadapa MP seat C Adinarayana Reddy.

However, preliminary inquiries indicate that the prime suspect in the murder could be the handiwork of K Sudhakar Reddy, one of the accused in the murder of Y S Raja Reddy, father of late YSR. Sudhakar Reddy was recently released from Kadapa central jail.

The murder of Raja Reddy caused a sensation and led to rioting and arson in Pulivendula and Vemula mandals and the retaliatory hacking to death of an accused, Perla Uma Maheswara Reddy, on the same day in Vemula.

Several persons were arrested in connection with the murder of Raja Reddy. However, many of them were acquitted later by the court, including former Pulivendula market committee chairman Perla Parthasarathi Reddy and his brothers - Perla Somasekhara Reddy, Perla Sesha Reddy, Perla Ramajaneya Reddy, Perla Ramakrishna Reddy, Kanala Sudhakar Reddy and Bala Bayyapu Reddy etc.

Similarly, the Kadapa court also acquitted all the nine accused in the murder of Perla Uma Maheswara Reddy who killed Raja Reddy.
