Environmental activist and Janasena leader Bolisetty Satyanarayana recently asked on social media if this is the true beauty of Visakhapatnam, leaving many to ponder.
The reality is alarming sewage from across the city is flowing directly into the sea.
Through his posts, he pointed out how the once pristine coastline is now contaminated, with waste mixing into the Bay of Bengal, killing Visakhapatnam’s natural charm.
He expressed anger and concern, stating that despite raising the issue repeatedly, the authorities have failed to respond effectively.
According to him, this crisis is the result of sheer negligence by GVMC and the State Pollution Control Board, and anyone who witnesses it can only agree.
If this situation continues, Visakhapatnam’s beauty will be lost, and the “City of Destiny” will turn into a stinking mess.
Fans and residents of Visakhapatnam are now demanding that the authorities mobilize immediately, take responsibility and work to restore the city’s charm before it is too late.
