Like the proverb “birds of same feather flock together,” popular television news anchor Parvathaneni Venkata Krishna, who was recently out of Telugu news channel AP 24X7, managed to find the rehabilitation in ABN Andhra Jyothy, thanks to the “right connections.”
According to sources, Venkata Krishna had done extensive lobbying to secure the job in ABN-Andhra Jyothy channel using his connections with the Telugu Desam Party which he had been blatantly supporting during his stint in AP 24X7 channel.
Sources said TDP general secretary and former minister Nara Lokesh, son of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu, had recommended to Andhra Jyothy MD V Radhakrishna to take Venkata Krishna on the board in the channel.
Though it is learnt Radhakrishna was not very keen on taking Venkata Krishna into the channel because of the ongoing crisis in the media industry on account of Coronavirus pandemic, he had to oblige the request of Lokesh. Other “equations” also are learnt to have played a role in taking Venkata Krishna into the channel.
It is not exactly known yet as to what position and designation Venkata Krishna would be given in the channel but it would not take a long time for him to occupy a prominent place in the channel, sources said.
It may be mentioned that Venkata Krishna had to get out of AP 24X7 under pressure from majority of the management members, as there were several allegations against him.
