Former Gannavaram MLA and senior YSR Congress Party leader Vallabhaneni Vamsi is reportedly suffering from serious health issues.
As is well known, he was arrested in connection with multiple cases, and his supporters allege that the police are deliberately harassing him by filing successive cases and keeping him in custody without allowing him to come out on bail.
Vamsi is said to be struggling with respiratory problems. On multiple occasions, he was shifted to government hospitals for treatment.
On Monday, he was once again taken to Guntur GGH (Government General Hospital), where he is currently receiving treatment under the supervision of government doctors.
His wife, Pankaja Sri, rushed to the hospital but was reportedly stopped by the police at the hospital gate and not allowed to see her husband.
Angered by this, she had a heated exchange with the police and expressed serious concern about her husband’s deteriorating health.
Guntur city YSRCP president Noori Fatima also arrived at the hospital to check on Vamsi but was similarly denied entry by the police.
Meanwhile, several YSRCP leaders and party workers have expressed grave concern over Vamsi’s health condition.
They have accused the government of playing with his life and warned that the government would be held responsible if anything happens to him.
