This YSRC MLA becomes big nuisance for cadre!

The YSR Congress party leadership is likely to drop a sitting MLA from a constituency in Tirupati district of Andhra Pradesh and appoint a new leader as the constituency in-charge of the party.

Apparently, this MLA, who had earlier served as the party MP, has become a big nuisance for the party leaders and cadre in the constituency which is considered to be a stronghold of the party.

In the last assembly elections, this MLA had won the seat with a huge margin of over 45,000 votes, but he has become so unpopular among the people that the party leaders and cadre are fed up with his style of functioning.

According to party sources, this MLA has been the most inactive leader in the party, but in order to safeguard his political existence, he is encouraging group rivalries within the party.

There are also allegations that he has a secret understanding with the in-charge of the opposition party in the district and has been indulging in extortions from business people.

The party leadership received several complaints against him in the past.

Even when he was the MP, he had not got along well with the party MLAs within his parliamentary constituency.

That is why, party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy did not give him party ticket for Lok Sabha elections again.

But since he had been loyal to the party right from the beginning, Jagan gave him the party ticket for the MLA seat. But he continued to be erratic as an MLA.

Despite repeated warnings and advices by the party leadership asking him to take everybody into confidence, he did not mend his ways, sources said.

So, it is learnt Jagan has decided to drop him in the next elections, as any lenience towards him will cause immense damage to the party.

In his place, the party is contemplating fielding the son of a former MP or any other leader who had worked as the party in-charge of the constituency in the previous term.
